- Wood fibre
Wood fibres are elongated, axially arranged wood cells which serve to strengthen the wood. The fibre content in the wood of most hardwoods is between 50 and 60 % (Libriform fibres). In the case of coniferous woods, it is the wood fibres that make up 90-95 % of the total coniferous wood body.
